The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SRi 2.0CDTi Auto is available via a 0% interest finance plan (APR representative). Paying for this small family estate is therefore easier than a Sunday morning lye-in. Furthermore, the finance terms can be tweaked to suit your financial circumstances. You can therefore influence the size of the deposit, the monthly payments and the length of the contract via Vauxhall's Flexible Finance Calculator. The manufacturer will also contribute £2,000 toward your deposit. If you choose not to increase this amount – and purchase the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SRi 2.0CDTi Automatic over the minimum twenty-four month period – the regular payments will be £948.55. This totals £24,765 including the manufacturer's contribution which is the vehicle's list price. You could, however, make smaller regular instalments over any number of months up to sixty so the payments could fall to only £379.42. Plus, if you increase the deposit to (say) £8,000 this further shrinks the instalments over sixty months to £246.09 – and however you set the 0% finance terms the total cost is £24,765.
Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SRi 2.0CDTi Auto Review
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SRi 2.0CDTi Auto has strengths that make it even more pleasing than a lye-in. These include its 500-litre cargo capacity that rises to 1,550-litres when the rear seats are folded flat. These figures eclipse some notable rivals and are similar to its more expensive sibling, the Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer. The Astra's spacious boot complements its potent 165PS diesel engine that propels 258lb ft of torque through smooth six-speed automatic transmission. The result is 0-62mph in 9.2 seconds. Furthermore, this family estate averages 48.7mpg, hits 60.1mpg on the extra-urban cycle and manages 35.8mpg in town so fuel economy is fair considering its power. The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer also has lowered, sports, suspension so it feels sure-footed and entertaining through the corners. The nicely weighted steering and comfortable ride help too. Standard equipment includes the electronic stability program which makes cornering safer, plus: air-conditioning, front fog lights, cruise control and rain-sensing windscreen wipers. Considering the price, this top of the range workhorse might therefore benefit from a few more toys such as standard-fit climate control/electric rear windows. Overall, though, the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer SRi 2.0CDTi has more strengths than weaknesses. Food for thought during the Sunday lye-in.
