Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet awarded 5 stars

The new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet awarded 5 stars in the latest round of European NCAP safety testing.

The new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet has been awarded top five star ratings for adult, child and pedestrian protection in the latest round of European NCAP safety testing.

Rating points are awarded based on the results of frontal impact and car-to-car side impact tests as well as a pole side impact test. Not only can adults feel safe in the Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet, maximum safety for children was verified in child occupant protection tests with dummies representing the ages 18 months and three years.

Order books are now open for the new Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet. Prices for the new model start from £20,720 rising to £26,595. The new two door, four seater front engined soft top joins the range alongside the Volkswagen Eos hard top convertible. The electrically powered fabric roof can be lowered in just 9.5 seconds including on the move at speeds up to around 18mph.
