Win New SsangYong Tivoli For A Year

Size, engine, trim and equipment overview of the competition vehicle that you can win simply by taking a test drive.

Prize draw to win a new car

The SsangYong Tivoli 48 Hour Test Drive is your route to winning this capable, likeable, crossover class vehicle for a year and enhancing your lifestyle. Book the test via a dealership or the manufacturer's website to be automatically entered for the prize draw. Receive a £10 Marks & Spencer voucher simply for taking part.

Size and practicality

The Tivoli is a flexible and practical workhorse. Consider its external proportions, for starters. It measures 4,195mm long by 1,705mm wide. It is therefore small enough to manoeuvre easily in busy cities. Handy when trying to park near a favoured coffee shop.

Despite its compact exterior it has a spacious cabin. It has room for 5 people and the cargo capacity is 423-litres. Perfect for a family holiday, perhaps. Furthermore, fold the rear seats flat to increase capacity to 1,115-litres. This faithful friend can then transport the materials required for a small, weekend, DIY project.

Engine, performance, fuel economy and emissions

Tivoli engine, gearbox and drive options balance your need for power, low running costs and environmental responsibility. The 1.6-litre, 128PS, petrol engine averages 44.1mpg - when teamed to 6-speed manual transmission – or 39.2mpg when bolted to the 6-speed auto which has a manual mode. Emissions are 149g/km (167g/km auto).

The 1.6-litre, 115PS, diesel averages 65.7mpg in manual form (51.4mpg auto). It emits carbon at a rate of 113g/km (146g/km auto). This power plant can be teamed with all-wheel-drive, too. Expect 60.1mpg (47.9 auto) and emissions of 123g/km (156g/km auto).

All-wheel-drive

In normal conditions, the all-wheel-drive system only sends power to the front wheels to save fuel. If the vehicle hits a slippery patch it automatically transfers a percentage of the engine's torque rearward. Alternatively, lock it to all-wheel-drive. Handy if (say) towing a caravan over a wet field to find a camping pitch.

Trims and equipment

The Tivoli SE trim has a pleasing specification to make motoring pleasurable and relaxing. Highlights include: Bluetooth, air-conditioning, cruise control, automatic engine start/stop system (petrol), remote keyless entry, numerous airbags plus alloy wheels.

The EX makes life more comfortable and further impresses any passengers. Extras include: dual-zone climate control, leather seats, reversing camera, front fog lights, autonomous emergency braking and forward collision warning. The ELX also has: keyless start, front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, lane departure warning system plus privacy glass.

Price and prize

The Tivoli costs from £13,300 to £20,700. The ELX – the highest specified trim - is the prize that could share your adventures for a year. To enter, enjoy a 48 Hour Test Drive by September 30th 2017.
