World Premiere of the Vauxhall Viva
Viva will be shown for first time at Geneva Motor Show 2015
The new Vauxhall Viva will have its world premiere at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show this coming March. The new five-door entry level Viva is the latest addition to Vauxhall’s small car range, joining the successful Vauxhall Adam and popular Corsa supermini.
The new Viva features the 1.0-litre, three-cylinder ECOTEC engine, mated with a five-speed transmission specially developed for Viva. The exterior carries three strong lines down the sides with the signature ‘blade’ seen previously on the Insignia and GTC.
The eye-catching front end features a distinctive winged chrome bar with the familiar Griffin badge. Large headlights and taillights add to the vibrant appearance, creating an overall design showing exceptional attention to detail for a vehicle in this class. The car will come in a choice of ten exterior colours and a variety of 14-inch to 16-inch wheels.
The Viva is perfectly designed for modern everyday life. It is practical and spacious and provides room for up to five people. It is fully connected to the IntelliLink infotainment system, which allows seamless integration of Apple iOS and Android devices. It is also equipped with ESP, featuring traction control, ABS with Electronic Brake-Force Distribution and Hill Start Assist, which prevents the car from rolling back when starting on a slope.
Further safety options can be selected, including Lane Departure Warning. City mode comes as standard and reduces steering effort at the push of a button. Park Assist alerts the driver to obstacles whilst parking and optional cruise control, sunroof, fog lights, heated front seats and heated steering wheel are available.
When the Vauxhall Viva goes on sale this summer, Vauxhall says it will be attractively priced.
