" Other than the rather limited storage and odd shaped luggage capacity it is nearly perfect. "

" Swapped a Porsche Cayman S for the BMW and have not regretted it. Great performance from the 3 litre engine amazing grip with the Xdrive system. Very comfortable and returns over 40 mpg. "

" I wanted a sub 5 second car, having searched I found that the BMW 435d, gave me not only the speed but space and practicality. I believe that is just about the perfect package. I also get 50+ mpg on a run ???? "

" By no means perfect, but very close to it. The car looks & sounds great & has plenty of space for my needs. Running costs can be a bit high, especially if you're fond of the accelerator pedal. I'm achieving somewhere in the region of 28-30 mpg, although this definitely could be bettered over a longer journey, or with slightly more careful acceleration (but where's the fun in that). The interior is a fantastic place to be. Extremely comfortable and the centre console is not too cluttered. When in Eco pro or comfort mode the throttle response can be a little dull, especially at junctions, but give it a boot full and you will have no trouble getting out with little space. "

" A powerful and yet economic car. It has the versatility of a 5 door car combined with the looks of a sports coupe. I have had over 50 mpg in eco mode yet the power takes you onto the motorway very safely. I love it! "

" 435D X-Drive Cabrio: Great all round sporting cabriolet, having 4 seats and solid folding roof of course results in some compromises but overall package is probably best of it's type on the market. 3.0 diesel is smooth & powerful (especially in sport modes) Auto gearbox & 4wd system works well, braking performance is exceptional. 19" wheels & run flat tyres do transmit road imperfections (18" are a smoother ride but cannot accommodate M Sport brakes), fuel economy is good at 40mpg ave, servicing costs a bit high at main dealer prices but intervals are not too close together. Overall a very competent car that seems difficult to beat - the competition either has fabric roof, only 2 seats or is much more expensive! "

" I don't think there is a better car for all-round. It has the space and of a 5 door hatch, the power of a sports cars and good economy when you need it (last tank got 45.9 to gallon) "

" The 4 series is a very stylish, well built coupe. The 2 litre diesel is powerful and economical. The M version on runflat tyres is a bit of a bone shaker! "
