Firstly, the car is very quick and at the same time very economical Although, the economy does vary with the quality of fuel. For example, using the cheaper supermarket brands the ecomony varies from between 550 to 600 miles per tank. Using proper forecourt fuel will get you closer to 700 which for a 3 litre car is fantastic.
The ride quality in comfort mode is good on smooth roads but on bumpy rides not nearly so nice. The car will wallow quite badly. Hit a pot hole and you'd think the suspension was going to come through the body work. Put the car in sport mode and all this goes away, however, the instant throttle response makes the car to hard to drive. So, you end up in comfort most of the time anyway. My perfect set up for normal driving would be to have the suspension in sport mode all of the time and the throttle response and gearbox in comfort mode.
It's a big car and I bought knowing this. However, the turning circle is woeful making it very hard to manoeuvre in tight spots. Multi-story car parks are a nightmare and I avoid them at all costs. One thing I don't like, and this is purely personal and this is the steering - the gearing is too low meaning that, for me at least, I have to turn the steering wheel more than I'd like.
Plus points. The performance, it's exceptional. The gearbox is also very good, you very rarely notice the gear changes. The ride is very smooth (on smooth roads) and the cabin is very quiet most of the time. The sound system is very good and the controls are all very clear and easy to use, so ergonomically it's hard to beat. Servicing is also cheap and the dealer backup is also very good indeed.
So overall, a great car
