I love my Range Rover Sport V8, I have had Range Rovers since 1972 when I bought my first brand new for £2150 I traded in a 1970 Jaguar E Type and got £2000 in part exchange so my first Range Rover cost me £150 so to speak, I wish I had the E Type now!!!
Any way back to the reveiw my 2009 Range Rover Sport 3.6 V8 is fantastic I love the power the comfort in fact there really isn't much I don't like other than it's let me down three times, once going up to London it went into Limp Mode hade to get it recovered to a Land Rover garage who said it was software programing fault.
The next time was late at night going up the M6 again Limp Mode this time Green Flag took it back to my home in Cornwall after checking it and found hundreds of faults and they recommended it be returned to my home. At home all it needed was a new battery as although it would start the car fine the voltage was slightly out affecting the software!!!
Finally on the M5 near bristol I ran over a small piece of wood which went up behind the rear wheel drivers side and hit an electrical plug which gave me numerous amber warning lights on the dash board. Took Highlanes Garage in Perranporth a couple of visits as it was intermittent but they found the loose plug!,
Since then it has been lovely and I a 74 year old man who in 1977 won BBC Amateur Driver of the Year, I really do love it.
