The Land Rover Range Rover is a truly luxurious car with a fantastic interior, for such a big car it has fabulous on road ride and refinement together with immense capability in the mud.
The Range Rover has two engine options a supercharged 5.0 litre V8 petrol and a 4.4 litre V8 turbodiesel. The petrol comes with a six speed automatic gearbox as standard and the diesel gearbox has eight. Both engines have a thirst for fuel so expect big bills and maintenance and insurance costs will also be high. Standard safety kit includes seven airbags (including one for the driver’s knees), electronic brakeforce distribution and stability control. Security kit is equally comprehensive and incorporates laminated side glass, which has safety, security and comfort benefits.
The interior of the Range Rover is extremely spacious; all five passengers can enjoy decent leg and head room. The boot is enormous and has a useful horizontally split tailgate. All versions have high specifications with cruise and climate controls, a CD multichanger, alloy wheels and leather trim. The clever dual-view display screen is standard on most models.
Prices for the Range Rover start at just over £68,000 rising to around the £85,000 mark.
