I wouldn't buy from here again and would advise avoiding this garage. After buying the car, found that the brake discs needed replacing, and a suspension arm had excess play on it, and needed replacing. This was in the first few weeks of owning the car. The car was sold with a clean MOT, no advisories. My garage, which is part of a chain that do MOTS as well, said the car would not have passed an MOT. I can accept that when you drive a car away, it can develop a fault, but this kind of repair develops over a longer period of time. When I put this to Dace by email I got a 'Mr Angry' on the phone to me called Jake, who talked over me continually telling me the car would have been fine and that the well established car garage I took it to didn't know what they were talking about. He also claimed he could have got the discs, pads, suspension fixed for about £100, which I find very difficult to believe seeing as the bill was about £600. When I challenged him about the fact that it was sold with a clean MOT, he got very angry and actually said that there's no way anyone could trace the MOT to him as he uses a third party garage for the MOTS!!!. I have supplied the invoices to Dace, and I have emailed them several times without even getting a reply other than the angry phone call, and ive had to foot the bill.Their word is worth nothing. They are only interested in your cash. No way would I ever trust them again, or any of their paperwork.

I bought a used Jaguar XJ from Dace Specialist in June. In the first few days after purchase several faults with the car became apparent which it is clear to me, given the very short timescale, were present at the point of sale. At least one of those faults was highlighted to Dace before purchase but had not been fixed properly. Although I believe they are obliged by law to fix these issues, Dace have in my opinion been less than helpful in their response so far, refusing to pay for some of the repairs and insisting on supplying second hand, reconditioned parts to fix others rather than new. They also expect me to pay an independent garage to diagnose the cause of the faults before they can be fixed! I was initially reassured by Dace’s Trading Standards Approved claim but so far I have been unimpressed with their aftersales service. In the interests of fairness I will revise this review if that situation changes.
