Aston Martin unveil two new ‘Special Editions’

New DB9 and striking new V8 Vantage

Aston Martin will unveil two new exclusive special editions at the Geneva Motor  Show next month.  A timeless DB9 and an addition to the V8 Vantage range will be exciting new special editions.

The new V8 Vantage N430 will be available in Coupe or Roadster form. It will be no surprise that this powerful car is capable of 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds and goes goes on to a top speed of 4.6 seconds. That power feeds the rear wheels through a sporty six-speed manual gearbox; with the option of a close-ratio seven-speed Sportshift™II automated manual transmission with short final-drive ratio for those demanding the most driver-focused yet involving set-up.

Ian Minards, Director of Product Development at Aston Martin, said of the new car “the N430 is all about bringing track-honed excitement to the road in an accessible, emotionally engaging, and authentically ‘analogue’ way. The dynamic exhilaration of Vantage is the perfect complement to the eye-catching looks of the N430.”

The exterior is dramatic with graphite painted forged alloy wheels alongside black front grille, headlamp bezels, exterior meshes, side window surrounds and textured tailpipe finishers and clear rear lamps with black surrounds. Optional club sports graphics packs inspired in part by the exceptional CC100 Speedster concept and nodding to Aston Martin’s most famous motorsport triumph, the DBR1 leave no doubt to the car’s identity or character.  The interior boasts new features and materials such as machined carbon sill plaques, N430 seat logos, black magnesium paddle-shifts or carbon fibre gearshift surround; contemporary driver instrument panel; black anodised rotaries; leather steering wheel with contrasting on-centre stitch feature (or Alcantara with matching stitch); seat and door inserts in technical PlissèAlcantara (indented leather on Roadster models) plus unique seat trim patterns. Additional complementary features from the Vantage range as standard include a carbon fibre facia trim, Piano Black interior trim, black anodised tread plates and black pedals. The Vantage N430 is priced from £89,995 and first deliveries are expected to begin in September this year.

The Aston Martin DB9 family is also growing with the arrival of the DB9 Carbon Black and Carbon White Special Editions.  The striking exterior additions for both models include carbon fibre strakes and black window surrounds. The interior has a strong dark theme with a choice of accent colours and new black hardware together with bespoke sill plaques with the Carbon Black or Carbon White logo.

Aston Martin Design Director Marek Reichman said  “the classic DB9 Carbon Black and daring DB9 Carbon White special editions give this timeless GT a fresh and highly desirable new appearance.

It's amazing how frequently I read nonsense like that in my local paper. Write it, check it, submit it. Very simple really.

Proof read before you commit to type I think the top speed will be more than 4.6 seconds
