British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards

The British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards has honoured Vauxhall as the 2011 Best Overall Van Manufacturer.

The British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards has honoured Vauxhall as the 2011 Best Overall Van Manufacturer. Every variant, in fact, in their five-strong fleet satisfied the awards selection criteria. Great news for Astravan, Vivaro, Corsavan, Combo, and Movano customers. Vauxhall's success was due to reassuring security features such as: full-size bulkheads, alarms, engine immobilisers, and remote control locking systems. Some vans are available with rear window protection grills and one-way security films too.

Steve Bryant, Vauxhall's Commercial Vehicle Brand Manager, said - 'It’s fantastic news that Vauxhall has been honoured for the security of its commercial vehicle range. This prestigious award shows Vauxhall has some of the most secure commercial vehicles on the market - giving peace of mind to both our customers and insurers alike.' Good point.

The British Insurance Vehicle Security Awards were established in 2004. The objective is to recognise the manufacturers that produce the most secure vehicles - and to raise consumer awareness of the top-performing models. Cars feature too. Awards are based on the New Vehicle Security Ratings Scheme – and the categories and judging process have been developed by the Automobile Association, Department for Transport, Home Office, and Thatcham. They are also supported by What Car? Magazine and UK insurers.
