Choosing a new Car

Gone are the days where choosing a new car was easy because everyone pretty much had in their mind what they wanted, but not today so why?

Gone are the days where choosing a new car was easy because everyone pretty much had in their mind what they wanted, but not today so why?

Well if you were a Ford man you bought a Ford and if you were a BMW man you bought a BMW but there is so much more on offer these days and no manufacturer makes a bad car. Car buyers are probably less brand loyal than ever and in this economy you can see why because what we all want is the best car for the best deal but you need to do your research.

Look at Kia for example who do great small cars and have now introduced 4x4’s and SUV’s, and that includes Hyundai who are building mega cars, but it is not just about the car it is also about the finance deals and believe me there are some crackers out there.

So if you want a 4x4 what do you buy? Is it the BMW X5 which without doubt was THE leading premium brand 4x4 for many years and now is even better, but then consumers have so much more choice. You could buy the new Mercedes ML or the new Audi Q7 or is it a Q5? Or do you go for the Range Rover Sport or the smaller but unique Evoque.....choice is massive and 2013 will be the year of deals so do your research. The lesser known brands have some incredible SUVs on offer so do yourself a favour and drive something different as you may get a surprise.

What about a Coupe? Again you have Mercedes C Class, Audi A5, BMW 3 Series and newcomers like the Toyota GT 86 which starts at only £24,995. Yes it is hard because it is a buyer’s market it’s not just a choice now it is also about the deal. Small cars are cheap as chips and you can get a Vauxhall Corsa for as little as over £100 a month along with the Ford Fiesta at around £130 a month, not to mention the Kia Picanto from £7745 and this car comes with a seven year warranty.

These are only snapshots of what's out there and here at motoring.co.uk we just simply tell consumers to do their research before buying because it is hard to find the best deal especially from manufacturer websites. So choose carefully and choose better because 2013 is going to be deals, deals and more deals.

A brochure is a good place to start and these days it's hard to get one from a dealer because they simply do not have them in stock anymore and if you are a little bit further down the buying road then get a test drive arranged and as well as your obvious choices maybe try something a little different as well. Take a look here and order a brochure or book a test drive
