First Hybrid Porsche Cayenne

The first hybrid version of the Porsche Cayenne will go on sale in May.

This new hybrid version appears the same but it is the off road ability that has been much improved. The Porsche Cayenne Hybrid uses a 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine and electric motor, together they produce 375 bhp.

Emissions are quite impressive down to 192g/km and this new hybrid offers 34.5mpg. The Porsche Cayenne Hybrid is capable of 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds and it is also able to run on electricity alone for 1.2 miles at up to 31mph.

Other versions apart from the Porsche Cayenne hybrid include the entry model 3.6 litre V6 petrol plus two V8’s which are offered in non turbo 394bhp and turbocharged 493bhp. A V6 turbo diesel should be available later this year.

Prices are thought to be approximately £40,000.
