After last week’s incident packed Belgian race, the drivers head straight to Monza for round 13 of the FIA Formula One World Championship.

After the disastrous pile up at Spa which ended Championship leader, Fernando Alonso’s race and also saw his points lead cut by 24 points, the Spaniard will look to take a win on the home soil of the Scuderia Ferrari.

Sebastian Vettel became the youngest driver to win a race in 2008 at the legendary Italian circuit and is only one of three drivers, alongside Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher to win at Monza and then go on to win the World Championship in the same year.

Over 53 laps drivers will encounter the famous Parabolica Curve on the fastest circuit on the calendar. The 5.793km lap will have drivers topping 340km/h.

Michael Schumacher will look to add to his five wins at Monza, as speculation mounts as to whether he’ll be retiring for a second time at the end of the season.

Looking to take a third win in a row, the McLaren drivers will be battling it out to be the top Brit, as the last time there was one on the top step, was David Coulthard back in 1997.
