Land Rover celebrate the 250,000th Freelander 2

Land Rover celebrates the production of the 250,000th Freelander 2. The 250,000th vehicle is a 2.2 litre TD4 Diesel GS in Fuji White.

The 2011 Landrover Freelander 2 model range benefits from a new 2.2 litre diesel engine plus a new look exterior and interior upgrades including new instrument dials and a new Premium Pack option. The new turbo diesel engine features manual transmission and intelligent stop/start technology as standard. The new intelligent Stop/Start system on Land Rover Freelander 2 diesel manual models is an automotive first for all-terrain vehicles.

This groundbreaking system smoothly switches the engine off when you come to a standstill, then restarts with a touch of the clutch. The result is improved fuel economy and reduced CO2 emissions over previous versions.

The exterior of the Land Rover Freelander 2 has a new front bumper assembly and new front grille finish with improved headlights and tail lamps. There is also 18” or 19” alloy wheel styles. Colours offered in the range include the Fuji White, Kosrae Green and Baltic Blue.
