New BMW Z4 Roadster on sale next month
A new version of the sporty BMW Z4 roadster goes on sale next month
Prices for the new BMW Z4 Roadster start at £27,610 for this popular sports car and there are some impressive updates that include the overall performance of the car.
The exterior of the Z4 is now more up to date but they are only minor changes, the headlights include white LED corona rings and a white ‘eyebrow’ with additional chrome detailing, the side gill features chrome detailing and LED side repeater lights. Three new colours are offered; Mineral Grey, Glacier Silver and Valencia Orange and two new styles of alloy wheel, 17-inch and an 18-inch V-spoke styling. All these enhancements to the exterior give the car a much more modern look.
The performance has improved, the BMW Z4 sDrive20i comes with a 184hp engine that returns 41.5mpg with co2 emissions at approximately 159g/km. The sDrive 18i is new to the range and is capable of 0-62mph in just 7.9 seconds; this version returns an impressive 41.5mpg and records Co2 emissions of 159g/km. Another new feature is the introduction of the Pure Traction Design package, available exclusively in Valencia Orange with an optional black contrast roof, the model also comes with Sport seats in Alcantara and leather with contrast stitching, Anthracite headlining and a unique metal weave interior trim. There is the option of a different exterior colour if ‘Orange’ is not for you. The Pure Traction Design package costs from £550 up to £2,240 depending on the model within the Z4 range it is ordered on.
It is also worth remembering that across the BMW range is the BMW’s award winning EfficientDynamics programme. Technologies that improve engine performance while enhancing economy and cutting emissions include Brake Energy Regeneration, Electric Power Steering with Servotronic, Reduced Rolling Resistance Tyres, on-demand control of the engine’s ancillaries and Optimum Shift Indicator on manual transmission cars.
BMW are also equipping every single model in its range with DAB digital radio from January 2013. The government has recommended that all new car radios sold in the UK by the end of 2013 should be digital. Owners of used modern BMWs don’t miss out as they can purchase a retro-fit DAB radio kit.
If an open top car is what you are looking for this summer then take a trip to your local BMW dealer and have a test drive when this new roadster arrives in the showrooms in March.
