New Ford C-MAX wins award

The new Ford C-MAX has won the compact multi purpose vehicle (MPV) category of 2012 Business Car Award. There was also good news at the Business Car awards for Ford’s larger S-MAX MPV, which was declared best MPV for the sixth year running. Launched in 2006, Ford S-MAX has won the title every year since.

Business Car editor Paul Barker said "Ford has deservedly taken both MPV awards thanks to a pair of products that successfully combine practicality and efficiency with a sense of style not previously available in a sector aimed squarely at family transport.

Both the Ford C-MAX and S-MAX offer good running costs as well as great handling and are deserved winners of this award, decided by the readers of Business Car, the very people using these products for their business and their company drivers.”

The all new Ford C-Max has surpassed all sales expectations together with the Ford Grand C-Max sales have passed the 100,000 mark. To meet the demand Ford has increased the line speed at its plant in Valencia Spain resulting in an 18% increase in daily production at the plant.

Prices start from £17,195 for the Ford C-MAX and £19,195 for the Ford Grand C-MAX all boast the maximum five-star safety rating from Euro NCAP and have Thatcham Category 1 alarm, DAB radio, Bluetooth and USB connectivity as standard.
