New Subaru XV receives highest safety rating

Subaru's new compact crossover, the XV, has received the highest possible safety rating in crash safety tests in the USA

Subaru’s new compact crossover, the XV, has received the highest possible safety rating in crash safety tests in the USA. Earlier this year the XV was also awarded five stars in the rigorous Euro NCAP safety tests, receiving the highest score ever recorded for child occupant protection at 90%.

Darren James, Managing Director, Subaru UK said “the Subaru XV continues to rack up an impressive collection of safety accolades, and since the new compact crossover arrived in the UK at the start of the year, it has remained one of the safest cars on the road. Our brand statement is ‘Confidence in Motion’, and the XV’s active, passive and hazard avoidance technologies are the perfect embodiment of this.”

The new Subaru XV starts at £21,295 for the entry level 1.6i S models and rises to £29,995 for the range-topping 2.0D SE Lux Premium. Features include ABS, traction control, Subaru Vehicle Dynamics Control (SVDC), front, side, curtain and knee airbags, 17-inch alloy wheels, daytime LED running lights and automatic air conditioning as standard.  SE models add cruise control, rear-view camera, Bluetooth functionality and USB/iPod connectivity.
