Nissan was UK’s top car maker for 2011

The biggest car production plant last year was the Nissan factory in Sunderland, where 480,485 cars were built which was a 13.5% increase on 2010. Nissan produces the Qashqai, Note and Juke models in the UK. The current Nissan Qashqai production line in Sunderland has been running around the clock for more than a year to meet global demand, producing an average of 1,200 Qashqai’s per day. No other car is made in such numbers in the UK. The Nissan Qashqai has a lot to offer, it is not quite a 4x4 but it is more than a hatchback.

The space is excellent in the Nissan Qashqai with plenty of head and legroom. The rear seat bench is wide enough to carry three and the boot is big and can be expanded to 660 litres when the rear seats are split.

The Nissan Juke has been designed and developed to give customers an alternative to the traditional small hatchback in Europe it fits into the Nissan range between the Nissan Note compact family car and the Nissan Qashqai crossover. The entry-level Nissan Juke Visia comes equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels, ESP, six airbags, sports seats and air conditioning, while also offering the practicality of the Nissan Juke’s funky five-door shape.
