Peugeot's Latest Innovations and ‘Future Tech’

Peugeot is constantly working to equip their vehicles with the latest new technology to offer impressive driving experiences across the range.

Efficient Engines & Gearboxes

Peugeot offer a fantastic range of performing and efficient engines, customers have some excellent choices. The latest developments include Pure Tech 3-cylinder petrol engines, Blue HDi diesel engines and EAT6 which is a new generation Efficient Automatic Transmission with Quickshift technology. Peugeot also offer Hybrid4 engines combining electric with the power of a diesel engine and 100% electric vehicles with zero emissions. There is certainly something for everyone. 

Peugeot i-Cockpit 

The Peugeot i-Cockpit boasts a large colour touch screen which houses most of the onboard technology on offer, full control is right at your fingertips. Everything is designed not only for the convenience of the driver but passengers as well. Peugeot have succeeded in bringing the maximum onboard comfort to their customers. 

Peugeot Connect

The latest innovative technology is Peugeot Connect, bringing state of the art audio, multimedia and satellite navigation system.  Peugeot Connect ensures a crystal clear reception to your radio making every journey enjoyable. There is also the option to purchase a Peugeot Connect Apps USB key which has 3G connectivity, a GPS receiver plus storage for the built in software interface and apps. Simple to use the key is inserted in the USB socket and Peugeot Connect Apps is accessed and controlled via the connected services menu on the touch screen. 

Sports Performance 

Peugeot offer a range of sporty options if sports performance is your preference,

the GT and GTi models boast fantastic engines and great styling. The high performance 208 GTi Peugeot Sport s a popular choice as is the dynamic drive of the new 308 GT, plus there is always the legendary 205 GTi.

Peugeot are always striving to improve technology and have unveiled a range of concept cars. Future technology includes Hybrid Air and the Pure Blue Air Purification System.

Peugeot 2008 Hybrid Air

This concept car combines a petrol engine and a compressed air powertrain, it is an affordable option and can achieve in excess of 141mpg. The car emits only 49g/km of Co2 emissions and is capable of 0-62mph in just eight seconds. The aerodynamic properties of this car is why it can produce such impressive results, it also features composite suspension and wheels plus special tyres that reduce rolling resistance. 

Pure Blue Air Purification System

The EXALT Concept Car boasts the Pure Blue Air Purification System, the technology eliminates  volatile organic compounds and fine particles so all occupants can travel in a pure and pleasant atmosphere. Pure Blue purifies by diffusing bacteria and fungicides treating the air before it enters the interior.
