Restyled Kia Venga arrives

New line up has five trim grades

Kia fans need wait no longer as the new extra stylish, more luxurious and better-equipped Kia Venga is now on sale in the UK.

The Venga is a five-seater super-mini offering generous space and a sporty look, thanks to a restyled front and rear end on all versions across the range.

The new line-up is based on five trim grades; 1, 1 Air, 2, 3 and 4 and four engines. The highly economical 1.4- and 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines are carried over from the previous Venga. Fuel economy is impressive - up to 64.2mpg - and CO2 emissions are as low as 117g/km.  Kia's fuel-saving, Intelligent Stop & Go (ISG) CO2-cutting engine stop/start technology is included as standard and is offered on all but one manual transmission version.

But back to the aesthetics: the Venga’s exterior boasts a sportier front bumper and main grille, featuring a new take on the 'tiger nose' theme with high-gloss black mesh and a chrome surround. The lower air intake has been redesigned to house daytime running lights next to the fog lights, which now sit in high-gloss black housings joined by a chrome strip.

Interior improvements include new black Houndstooth cloth for entry-grade models. Grade 2 continues with black Beat cloth and you can choose to upgrade to black Bamboo part-leather and part-cloth upholstery. All models are extremely high spec and features previously unattainable with the Venga now appear in certain models. Tyre Pressure Monitoring is fitted to all versions and Automatic Light Control is now standard with Venga 3 and 4. Venga 4 also has 'welcome' and 'follow-me-home' lighting.

Finally, for those needing to pack loads of shopping or cases, the luggage compartment is truly spacious and, If more space is required, the rear seats have 'Fold & Dive' functionality.  With this, they seemingly disappear into the floor, creating a completely flat deck and a load area offering a fantastic 1,253 litres of space.

It all adds up to a car to take into consideration for 2015.
