Skoda Citigo and Rapid prove success for Skoda

Skoda has reported a rise in sales with deliveries continuing to grow. Skoda CEO Winifred Vahland said “Skoda is staying its growth course we can see that the company’s growth strategy is bringing tangible results. We delivered more cars in the first nine months and raised our revenues despite some difficult market conditions. The Citigo and the Rapid have successfully rung in the largest model offensive in Skoda’s history. We will continue on this road, further increasing our efforts next year.”

The Citigo is Skoda’s first city car and is aimed at young drivers and families in need of a second car. The Citigo has a spacious and bright cabin which can easily accommodate four adults, no matter how long the journey. It also has the largest boot in its class and a five-star Euro NCAP safety rating. The Citigo is powered by a three cylinder petrol engine with one litre of displacement in two versions with 44 kW/60 hp or 55 kW/75 hp. In its most efficient Green tec variant, the new Citigo achieves a mileage of 4.1 l/100 km and CO2 emissions amount to just 96 g CO2/km.

The new Skoda Rapid made its debut at the Paris Motor Show. The Skoda Rapid is a roomy, elegant and affordable car for the whole family, the exterior boasts perfect proportions, and the front end displays a new take on Skoda typical design elements with the brand new logo standing out on the front edge of the bonnet. The Skoda Rapid offers five petrol and two diesel engines and sits between the Fabia supermini and Octavia hatch in price and size.
