Flagship model has facelift

Skoda has revealed prices and specification for the new Skoda Superb, the flagship model has undergone a comprehensive facelift and both the hatchback and the estate offer a new fresh and attractive design. Prices start at £18,555 for the 1.4-litre TSI 125PS S hatch. The top-of-the-range Laurin & Klement Estate model costs £32,455 (OTR) when paired with the 2.0 TDI CR 170PS DFP engine, 4x4 and 6spd Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG). The diesel versions start from £19,760 (OTR). The premium for the Estate over its hatch sibling is £1,125.

It is a major facelift; the Superb has a completely new front and rear and looks much more distinctive. It has a new grille, car logo, head and fog lights, bumpers, front wings and a bonnet. Bringing it right up to date are the new bi-xenon headlights with integrated LED daytime running lights. The rear of the Superb Hatch and Estate focuses on clear, tidy and precise lines. The rear light graphic has been reinterpreted to further emphasise the brand’s typical C-shape. This will be the first time in the Superb that LED stripes create this shape, and are fitted as standard on all models. Two triangular elements on the Hatch are another unmistakable feature of the new Skoda design

Six advanced engine options for Skoda Superb

Alasdair Stewart, Brand Director for ŠKODA UK, commented: “The Superb continues ŠKODA’s tradition of offering a huge amount of space, engineering excellence and great value for money. Since its launch 12 years ago, the Superb has been lauded for its versatility, comfort and equipment.  This comprehensive facelift builds on these and we are confident that the excellent improvements to fuel consumption and CO2 will appeal to both fleet and private customers.”
