Skoda reveals the ‘Yeti Laurin & Klement’

Skoda has paid tribute to its history by naming their flagship high specification models the Lauren & Klement

Way back in 1895 Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement founded the automotive business Skoda which started out manufacturing bicycles. Skoda has paid tribute to its history by naming their flagship high specification models the Lauren & Klement and on sale now is the new Yeti Laurent & Klement.

The Skoda Yeti continues to be a range topping success for Skoda, it is the perfect balance between on-road performance, family orientated practicality and a capable off-roader. The Yeti Laurin & Klement is available only as a four-wheel-drive model and comes with a choice of three engines; the 1.8-litre TSI 160PS 4x4, 2.0-litre TDI CR 140PS 4x4 DSG DPF and 2.0-litre TDI CR 170PS 4x4 DPF. The exterior is impressive with 17” Annapura polished alloy wheels, silver roof rails, black side protective moulding with chrome ledge and the L & K inscription of the front mud guards. The interior features are equally impressive with black leather seats with silver stitching and the L & K logo, panoramic sunroof, heated windscreen, columbus satellite navigation with DAB radio, floor mats featuring silver stitching. The L & K logo also features in the Piano Black cabin inlays and the door sill scuff plates. All this equipment is standard and amounts to approximately four thousand pounds worth of extra for just two thousand pounds more on the recommended retail price.

The Skoda Yeti has won numerous awards over the past four years and has already picked up two more this year. The Skoda Yeti Laurent & Klement 1.8 TSI is priced from £24,835, the 2.0 TDI CR 140PS 4x4 DSG DPF is priced from £26,400 and the 2.0 TDI CR 170PS 4x4 DPF starts from £25,980. If it is not the Laurent & Klement model that takes your fancy the Skoda Yeti is available in other trims with a choice of two petrol and three diesel engines. The luggage compartment volume is highly flexible; it can expand to 1,760 litres by removing the rear seats. A luggage cover and net as well as lashing rings are available to secure any load. The 4x4 variants are characterised by outstanding off-road ability and excellent traction, coupled with low emission values and fuel consumption.
