Honda's city car of the future is the P-Nut (Personal Neo Urban Transport), this car drew crowds at the recent Los Angeles Motorshow and it is thought that Honda would like to put it into production.

Extremely futuristic to look at and only 3.4 metres in length the Honda P-Nut would definitely be a city car just for nipping in and out of traffic. The modular rear engine bay of the P-Nut is designed to accommodate a wide variety of potential propulsion technologies including a conventional small displacement internal-combustion engine, a hybrid gasoline-electric powertrain, or a battery-electric powertrain. All of which would deliver in excess of 60mpg with ultra low Co2 emissions. The interior is capable of three occupants, the driver’s seat placed in the centre of the cabin with two seats behind.

Honda has the CR-Z on sale next summer prices are expected to start at £18,000. Honda says this is their halo car for hybrids with co2 emissions below 120g/km and returning 60mpg.
