Two new engines for the Saab 9-5
Two new engines have been added to the Saab 9-5 range
Two new engines have been added to the Saab 9-5 range. The petrol lineup has been extended by the addition of an efficient 180 hp 1.6 litre turbo and for the diesel a 190hp 2.0 litre twin turbo. This new Saab 9-5 powerful twin turbo diesel engine is capable of 0-62mph in just under nine seconds and it is the first diesel to offer cross wheel drive (XWD).
When the new Saab 9-5 went on sale two months ago UK Managing Director Jonathan Nash said "the new Saab 9-5 combines the emotional appeal of a contemporary, modern Saab with all the rational appeal of a spacious five-seater premium saloon, with high levels of standard equipment, innovative functional features and competitive pricing."
The Saab 9-5’s high-tech options list has been expanded by the addition of Adaptive Cruise Control. This optional feature for models with automatic transmission enables the driver to select a constant cruising speed and automatically alters the chosen speed to maintain a safe gap to the vehicle on the road ahead.
