Motoring.co.uk Limited ("we/us") refers to any assets owned by Motoring.co.uk Ltd, namely:

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

We have completed a Legitimate Interest Assessment (LIA), in order to produce a balancing assessment to ensure that the legitimate interest being relied on does not outweigh your rights.

The Information We Collect

In order to provide our service across our digital platforms, we collect data from our users. This may be in the form of vehicle data such as your car’s reg, or personal data such as your email used to create your account. In each case, we process this data in the most sensitive manner possible.

Some of our products, services and features require that we share information with other users or at your request, such as the digital garage or marketplace, or when you have submitted a form.     Summary

    We adhere to a strict retention policy after which we will no longer process your data.

    Your personal data shall be kept in a form which permits identification of data subjects for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed. We comply with the principle of storage limitation and retain your data only for as long is necessary, and in line with our records retention policy.

    Regit is committed to keeping your information secure. Information is retained in secure electronic and paper records and access is restricted to those who need it. Security and access controls, operational policies and procedures are in place to protect your information.

    The UK GDPR regulates the processing of personal information. Strict principles govern our use of information and our duty to ensure it is kept safe and secure.

    Everyone working for the company is subject to the Common Law Duty of Confidentiality, as well as the UK GDPR. Information provided in confidence will only be used for the purposes for which have consented, unless there are other circumstances covered by the law.

    All of our staff are required to protect your information, inform you of how it will be used and to allow you to decide if and how this may be shared. This will be noted in your records.

    • Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing.
    • Request the transfer of your personal information to another party.

    1. Data breaches under UK GDPR

    Under the UK GDPR, we have a duty to report certain types of breach to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO). If the breach creates a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you without undue delay and the ICO within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, where possible.

    If the breach is likely to bring a high risk of adversely affecting your rights and freedoms, we will also inform you without undue delay.
